A small villa, in the middle of fields of Olive trees, vineyards and sunflowers, "Villa Doumina" has 2 double bedrooms, and 1 1/2 baths, a large kitchen and living room with pull-out bed in couch, and it is perfectly situated in the middle of the golden triangle, between Tuscany and Umbria.
The breathtaking view of Cortona, the vicinity to Lago Trasimeno, and the beautiful pool for those warm spring and summer days, makes "Villa Doumina" a wonderful place to relax. Surrounded by natural scenic wonderland it is a perfect setting for your holiday in a relaxing atmosphere and the ideal starting point for artistic and cultural excursions. Only 3 miles from Cortona, and very near to Perugia, Arezzo, Siena, and Assisi, you can also reach Florence by train in 1 hour and 20 minutes, and Roma in 2 hours. The train station, in Terontola, is just 10 minutes from the Villa.
The house is furnished nicely, with cotto flooring, and the ceilings are open beamed. There is a change of linens and towels every Saturday, and the house is rented on a weekly basis, (Saturday to Saturday) unless other arrangements are made with the owner.
The bathroom is large with shower, and the second bathroom with a sink and toilet.
The living room is large with fireplace and plasma TV.
The kitchen is standard with everything you need for cooking.
There is internet service in the kitchen if you carry your computer with you.
Nice backyard for having dinner under the acacia trees.
The Relais Parco Fiorito www.parcofiorito.it is situated only a stones throw away...and is easy walking within 3 minutes up the country road to enjoy as compliments of Parco Fiorito, the beautiful infinity pool, overlooking the Tuscan Countryside.
The guests at "Villa Doumina" are invited to partake in other festivities at Parco Fiorito for an additional charge.
Spa services, cooking courses and nightly dinners by chef Russo, (author of two cookbooks, "Between Umbria and Tuscany", and "Good Ciao") are available at an extra charge. (see photos)
Every evening dinner is served in the beautiful dining room of the monastery in the main house, at 8 pm. Roberto, cookbook author and gastronomical chef prepares typical tuscan cuisine for your dining pleasure, in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere. A deposit of 1/2 the rental cost is due within 7 days of booking to confirm the reservation, the remaining one-half of the rental price is due 60 days prior to arrival at Villa Doumina. If you are making a reservation within the 60 days of arrival at Villa Doumina, payment will be due in full.
Upon receipt of the initial deposit you will receive at receipt/confirmation in writing.
Upon a receipt of your final payment 60 days to arrival, you will be sent a final receipt, directions to the house, and any other pertinent information to your stay.
CANCELLATION ONCE DEPOSIT IS CONFIRMED BUT PRIOR TO FINAL PAYMENT DUE DATE: Any cancellation notification must be made in writing to Villa Doumina. The reservation deposit will be forfeited unless the property is able to be re-rented. The deposit will be returned once the re-rental of the property is confirmed.
CANCELLATION ONCE FULL FINAL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE: Any cancellation notification must be made in writing to Villa Doumina. The final payment is forfeited unless we are able to re-rent the property. If the property is re-rented, your full payment will be refunded once new re-rental of the property is confirmed. Please be advised that it is extremely difficult to re-rent the property once a cancellation is made within the 60 days prior to arrival date.
There will be a $125 cleaning charge, due with your last payment, 60 days before arrival.
Bed linens and towels are provided at no extra cost and are of good quality.
Clients are required to act in a responsible manner at all times. The client is responsible for ensuring that the property is left upon departure in the same general condition and repair as on arrival.
Villa Doumina reserves the right to recover from clients the cost of any loss or damage caused by a failure to respect the property, fixtures, or fittings. Villa Doumina reserves the right to recover from clients the cost of excessive use of the telephone. Clients are required to use their long- distance calling cards or credit cards when placing long-distance calls.
Normal arrival time at the property is between 4:00 PM and 7pm (16:00 and 19:00 local time) on Saturday afternoon. Arrangements to arrive at any other time must be made before leaving the States. Departure from the property must be by 10 A.M Saturday morning.
Guests are asked to refrain from smoking within the house.
