Terre di Siena , or the lands of Siena, are a natural stage set where roads are actors playing genuine poetry creating paths in one of the most beautiful Italian landscapes. Sky and land, flocks and farms, fields and vineyards, footpaths and ancient villages rising like islands from a ocean made of lands.  This evocative trail covers peaks of the Crete in the Municipality of Asciano and offers spectacular views of the clay hills with colours and light that change from season to season. Depart off of the white road lined with cypress and emerge onto a natural stage where white roads encircle seas of wheat and salt moguls. Green, blue, white and yellow, are the underlying colors that surround you, while sheep dot the landscape and transport your mind to a surreal place, a place in a dream, to a walk on another planet...a walk you won't soon forget. After, stop for a panini or a slice of pizza and a cold beer or a glass of wine....Buonissimo!
