About Me

Doumina WhymanThe truth is, I have forged long and lasting relationships with people.  We work together every year, many times a year, and we trust and depend on each other.  It is a marriage of sorts, and I choose only the best venues that are satisfying to the soul.  The ones that my clients come to me and say, "Wow! That was great. I will never forget today!"

A travel agent and tour guide for the past 6 years with The Enthusiastic Traveler, her private company, Doumina has recently joined forces with Small Vineyards Travel because of their similar philosophy regarding the Italian Lifestyle, the families, and sharing the "real" Italy with her groups. Whyman says, that her biggest reward is happy, smiling clients. A true testiment to her work is her clients approval and referrals. Especially the ones that travel with her over and over.

Small Vineyards import wine from the smallest vineyards in Italy.  Wines that are truly outstanding, but would never make it to the USA, because they are too small.  Small Vineyards, based in Seattle, Whymans home town, seeks out and finds these wines, and only imports from these small estates, where only a half-bottle of wine is hand crafted per grape vine.

Whyman also specializes in hand-tailoring trips for individual needs.  Sharing her long-standing relationships to make special itineraries for those who want to travel one day or 20 days.

My guests say:

"Doumina gives you an up-close insiders view of the treasures surrounding the enchanted hill town of Cortona. You like olive oil? Meet a farmer who picks his olives, and the man who presses them. Art your thing? Listen to the passionate sermons of her guide, and real-life descendant of Cortona's own Luca Signorelli. Want to eat the way the heartiest Tuscans do? For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you will. Guaranteed."
