The Duomo is one of Milan's most impressive buildings architecturally, and the visit of its interior is a must. By elevator, we can reach the top of the dome for incredible views of Milan.
Next to the Duomo is the Salon of Milan, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. It was considered the Salon of Milan, because its cafés became the meeting point of the artists and the impresarios in the 19th century, who were active nearby at the Opera House. We can admire the Opera House from the outside before walking on to the Castle.
The Castle is Sfoza Castle, and it is one of the largest medieval castles in Italy. Built as a fortress for defensive purposes in 1368, the Castle was enlarged by Francesco Sforza. The great commissioner of Leonardo da Vinci, Ludovico Sforza chose it as his residence and enriched it with splendid works of art.
